News Sorority hosts women's series A variety of events over the week
seek to empower,

Members of the Phi Epsilon chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta Inc. sorority will hold a series of events throughout the week addressing issues affecting young women. "A Woman's Worth: Reflections of Self" runs this Monday through Friday. "One of our sorority's founding principles is finer womanhood, and the events scheduled for this week are focused on emphasizing and instilling that ideal in collegiate young ladies," Daria Awusah, Phi Epsilon's vice president, said. "Self-Empowerment: Mirrorless Monday" starts the series at 7:20 p.m. Monday in the University Center's Spindletop Room. Activities and presentations will center on self-esteem. "Self-Awareness: Black Woman's Health Passport" will be held at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday in the UC Atlantic Room. Medical professionals will discuss health issues affecting minority women. "Self-Exploration: Young, Black and the Workplace" begins at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday in the UC Bayou City Room. A panel discussing culture in the workplace will be present. The "Self-Indulgence: Joy of Sisterhood Lunch" will start at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the UC Millennium Cafe. The week concludes with "Self-Expression: LadieZ Night-In"at 7:20 p.m. Friday at the Cullen Oaks Community Center. "We are so excited about this line-up and we look
forward to the campus support," Phi Epsilon president Lauren Collins said.
