Back in the groove
After having its chance at four consecutive
Conference USA indoor championships snapped by Texas-El Paso last season,
the UH men's track and field team went looking for revenge at the 2007
championship meet at Yeoman Field House on Feb. 24.
Cougars will have vengeance
on their minds
A second-round matchup against Southern
Methodist could have been Houston's easy ticket to a Conference USA semifinal
game.

If the Cougars had been able to avoid
making costly errors and consistently drive in more runners than they left
stranded, they might have been able to steal a game or two from nationally-ranked
Texas A&M. As it turns out, they could do neither.

The UH track and field team will send
two of its members to the NCAA Indoor Championships, which start Friday
and run through Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark.
