Complaints brought
to RHA
Students voiced concerns about slow
Internet speeds and a request by the Honors organization Club Theater to
reserve space in the Oberholtzer Ballroom for two weeks at the Residence
Hall Association meeting on Tuesday.
Walk to benefit local AIDS charities
Houston citizens will be hitting the
streets Sunday for a 5K walk to raise funds for HIV/AIDS research as part
of AIDS Walk Houston in Sam Houston Park in downtown.
Author embraces history
Renowned writer and editor Trudier
Harris, professor of literature at University of North Carolina-Chapel
Hill, said history and heritage should be remembered and embraced at a
reading of her memoir Summer Snow: Reflections from a Black Daughter of
the South on Tuesday.
