Victory propels
Cougars to semifinals
Southern Miss guard Craig Craft's shot hit the front
rim as time expired and UH slipped out with a 62-59 victory in its Conference
USA quarterfinal game on Thursday at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.
Cougars hit the road to start
conference play
The Cougars kick off Conference USA
play this weekend with a three-game series against Southern Miss in Hattiesburg,
Miss., starting with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Saturday.
UH expects good fortune to continue
this weekend
The Cougars are 8-9 this season and
haven't played like the team that finished 39-22 a season ago.
