White encourages
citizen involvement
Citizens need to be more involved
in the political process to make cities a better place, Mayor Bill White
said Thursday while speaking in the University Center Underground's World
Affairs Lounge.
Students take reins at event
While more than 360 alumni, parents
and recruiters enjoy their classy evening at the 32nd annual Gourmet Night
at the University Hilton, the students running the show will be learning
a lesson or two outside the classroom.
RHA discusses coming events
The Residence Halls Association announced
a contest for residential students and several coming events in a record-breaking
four-minute General Assembly on Tuesday.
Dedication is key, local anchor
says
A KPRC-TV news anchor said self-confidence,
credibility and knowledge of the industry are essential to being a successful
broadcaster in a talk hosted by the Association of Women in Communications
on Tuesday in the University Center.
