The Houston track and field team locked up four NCAA Regional marks at the Texas Relays, which concluded Saturday afternoon.

The four-day competition ended with the distance medley relay races. The UH men's team of junior Steve Magness, senior Dominique Milton, senior Chris White and freshman Daniel Martinez finished with a time of 10 minutes, 21.07 seconds to grab seventh place.

The women's DMR team of junior Adriane Guinn, freshman Ciara Willis, sophomore Jennifer Harper and freshman Jessica Cook placed 11th with a time of 12 minutes, 21.46 seconds.

On the third day of competition freshman Ashley Bryant's throw of 49.43m/162-02 earned her a fourth-place finish in the B section of the discus and a regional qualifying mark.

Junior Tremaine Smith also punched his ticket to Regionals with his sixth-place finish of 10.41 seconds in the 100-meter prelims.

Another mark was hit on Friday when junior James Lee qualified for the NCAA Regional in the A section of the discus for the fourth meet in a row. Lee's shot put throw of 55.52m/182-02 earned him a 10th place finish in the B section.

The women's team qualified both of its relays in Friday's prelims. The 4x100 team ran to an 11th-place finish with a time of 45.61 seconds and the 4x400 relay team finished eighth with a time of 3 minutes, 39.28 seconds.

The Cougars faired well in the distance races on the first day of competition with Harper's seventh place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes, 14.53 seconds.
