Life & Arts Gulf Coast reading brings season to close COUGAR LIFE & ARTS SERVICES Gulf Coast, a UH literary journal, will hold its last reading of the 2006-07 season Friday. The event will feature readings from three rising writers. New Mexico native Andrew Brininstool was a recipient of the 2003 Charles Gordone Award for fiction. His book reviews appear regularly in BSCENE magazine. Jericho Brown, who holds the Cambor Fellowship at the UH Ph.D. program in creative writing and literature, is the poetry editor of Gulf Coast. Brown's poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Prairie Schooner, New England Review, AGNI and Callaloo. The poetry of Sasha West, a soon-to-be graduate of the Ph.D. program in creative writing at UH, has appeared in various literary journals: American Letters & Commentary, Margie and Third Coast. The reading is free and will begin at 7 p.m. Friday
