Flores, Presley
lift UH with homers in sixth
Houston sophomore catcher Luis Flores
and freshman outfielder Zach Presley connected on back-to-back home runs
in the sixth inning to give UH its fourth consecutive victory in a 5-2
win Tuesday night over the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners at Riverside Park
in Victoria.
Cougars not finished yet in
Conference USA
At the beginning of the season, Houston
set its sights high with two goals in mind: making a return trip to the
NCAA Regional after a two-year hiatus and winning this year's Conference
USA Championship.
Standout athletes get mad props
At times, their desire to be the best
drove them to excellence. They pushed their bodies to the limit, snarling
at the face of defeat while fiercely wearing the Cougar emblem on their
tattered sleeves.
