Cougars aiming
for postseason spot
Two weeks ago, morale was low in the
Houston dugout at Cougar Field after the Cougars dropped their seventh
straight Silver Glove Series to crosstown rival Rice. A few games later,
the team is abuzz with excitement.
Hargrove not likely to pitch
at all this season
A few weeks ago, all signs were positive
for UH junior pitcher Ricky Hargrove. The injured right-hander was locked
into a light throwing program and was progressing so well that head coach
Rayner Noble figured Hargrove wasn't far away from making his season debut.
Astros in for long, unfruitful
campaign
The Houston Astros played their 20th
game of the season Wednesday night, and though only an eighth of the schedule
has been played so far, Astros fans should give up all hope that 2007 will
be a big year for the hometown club.
