If you're a big fan of electronic, rock, ska or alternative music, you're in luck, as this weekend brings forth a hefty lineup of local and regional acts.

Don't miss Voxtrot, an Austin-based quintet, as it brings a blend of soothing orchestral sounds and indie rock at 8 p.m. tonight at Walter's on Washington, 4215 Washington Ave.

Your Biggest Fan, the band's latest EP, showcases its eclectic sound. "Sway" is a string orchestra-based piece topped with Jason Chronis' smooth voice. The band exhibits a more fast-paced, upbeat pop-rock style with catchy guitar riffs and keyboard melodies in "Trouble."

Yellow Fever and Houston-based power pop band The Dimes will open. Tickets are $10. For more information, call (713) 862-2513.

Indie rock group Deep Ella will give concertgoers alternative rock along with The Big Fix and Arthur Yoria tonight at Rudyard's, 2010 Waugh Drive. For more information, call (713) 521-0521. The show is 21 and up, so no kids allowed.

Inoculist will kick off the night for The Sky High Revue and headlining act Wooden Wand at 7 p.m. tonight at The Proletariat, 903 Richmond Ave.

Kinky, a Houston-based Latin electronic group, will perform at 7 p.m. tonight at Warehouse Live Studio, 813 St. Emmanuel St.

Broken Social Scene, an indie rock group from Canada, has exposed fans to an impressive lineup of musicians from Toronto's indie scene since 1999. Don't miss core members Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning unleash an experimental-rock sound in a headlining performance that should draw a decent crowd. Opening act Do Make Say Think will begin at 8 p.m. Friday at Warehouse Live Ballroom.

If you're a fan of Los Skarnales, you probably already know the Latin-ska band is breaking up, but you can still catch the Houston locals Friday at the Continental Club, 3700 Main St., for one of their last shows. For more information, call (713) 529-9899.

Sensitive New Jersey rocker Pete Yorn and special guest Minibar will perform Friday night at Meridian, 1503 Chartres St. Call (713) 629-3700 for more information.

Have fun with the locals this weekend, or just stay home and go night-night.
