This weekend, lend an ear to Wadada Leo Smith and delve into avant-garde music at its best as the legendary master trumpet player, composer and multi-instrumentalist performs with Wadada Leo Smith's Golden Quartet at 8 p.m. Saturday at Barnevelder Movement/Arts Complex, 2201 Preston St.
