Campus Crime Report

The following is a partial report of campus crime between Monday and Tuesday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event's location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD at (713) 743-0600.

Theft: 8:01 a.m. Monday, Science and Engineering classroom building -- A staff member reported that someone entered Room 101 of the Science and Engineering classroom building and stole a Sympodium. There are no suspects. Occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Friday and 7:01 a.m. Monday.

Theft: 1:09 p.m. Monday, Moores School of Music -- A student reported the theft of two secured bicycles by unknown persons. There are no witnesses or suspects. Occurred between 7:40 and 11 a.m. Oct. 24. 

Theft: 3 p.m. Monday, College of Pharmacy -- A student reported that someone stole his secured bicycle from the bike rack in front of the UH College of Pharmacy. There are no suspects and no witnesses. Occurred between 1 and 3 p.m. on Monday. 

Theft: 5:03 p.m. Monday, Fleming Building -- A staff member reported that someone stole her unattended, unsecured purse and contents from her desk while she was out of the room. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. Occurred between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday. 

Criminal Mischief: 10:23 p.m. Monday, Lot 15D -- A student reported that an unidentified male attempted to burglarize his parked vehiclae and shattered a window and damaged the door window frame. The complainant advised that he attempted to chase the male, but lost sight of him. The area was checked for the suspect with negative results. There are no suspects. Occurred at10:23 p.m. Monday. 

Theft: 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, M.D. Anderson Library -- A student reported that someone stole a UH laptop in her possession at the M.D. Anderson Library. There are no suspects. Occurred at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday. 

Theft: 2:04 p.m. Tuesday, UH Police Department -- A visitor reported that someone stole a newspaper stand from the front of the University Center. There are no suspects. Occurred sometime before 5 p.m. Nov. 1. 

Theft: 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, Calhoun parking garage -- A student reported that someone stole her unattended, unsecured purse and contents. There are no witnesses or suspects. Occurred between 2 and 2:35 p.m. Tuesday. 

Burglary of a Motor Vehicle: 4:08 p.m. Tuesday, Lot 15D -- A student reported that someone burglarized his parked, secured vehicle and stole various electronic equipment. There are no suspects at this time. Occurred between 10 a.m. and 4:08 p.m. Tuesday. 

Assault: 6:04 p.m. Tuesday, Agnes Arnold Auditorium -- A student reported an unknown male touched her inappropriately on her buttocks and left the area. The area was checked for the male with negative results. There are no suspects. Occurred at 5:52 p.m. Tuesday.

Theft: 8:14 p.m. Tuesday, Calhoun parking garage -- A UH staff member reported that several UH information signs were stolen from the parking garage. An investigation is ongoing. Occurred sometime before Nov. 2. 

Minor in Possession of Alcohol: 11:22 p.m. Tuesday, Bates Residence Hall -- Four minor UH students were found in possession of alcohol. All four students were issued Harris County citations, Student Life and Residential Life Referrals and released. Occurred at 11:22 p.m. Tuesday.
