Firm helping to
rebuild coast
The National Institute of Standards
and Technology awarded the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center Gulf Coast
an $800,000 grant this fall to assist manufacturing firms still affected
by Hurricanes Rita and Katrina more than a year after the devastation.
Mental health, law to be explored
The UH Graduate College of Social
Work will co-sponsor a free symposium titled Beyond the Andrea Yates Verdict:
Women's Mental Health and the Law from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the University
Hilton.
Students, staff take a walk for
safety
Faculty, staff and students participated
in the Walk in the Dark tour with UH Department of Public Safety and UH
Plant Operations, exploring areas on campus in need of additional lighting
and extra security Wednesday.
