Campus Spotlight
TODAY Stand up: STAND, a student anti-genocide coalition focusing on the crisis in Darfur, will distribute information and recruit new members from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the University Center. Sweet deal: The UH Impact Movement will host "The Sweetest Day: Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before," offering free deserts from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the World Affairs Lounge of the UC Underground. Fair is fair: Students for Fair Trade and Oxfam will sponsor an Oxfam Fair Trade lunch from noon to 1 p.m. at the UC’s Cougar Den. Attendance is free but seating is limited. For the kids: The Phi Mu sorority is conducting a book drive to benefit the Texas Children’s Hospital’s Children’s Miracle Network Department until Nov. 17.
