News Campus Crime Report The following is a partial report of campus crime between Saturday and Monday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event--s location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD at (713) 743-0600. Disorderly Conduct: 1:33 p.m. Saturday, University Center -- A student advised that several people were involved in a fight in the University Center during a University-sponsored event. There are no suspects. Criminal Trespass: 1:32 a.m. Monday, Heyne Building -- UH students were caught trespassing in the University maintenance tunnels. The UH students were issued Student Life Referrals and released. Occurred between 1:32 and 1:55 a.m. Monday. Theft: 9:30 a.m. Monday, Cougar Place Apartments -- A student reported someone stole his secured, unattended bicycle from a bicycle rack inside the Cougar Place complex. There are no suspects at this time. Occurred between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday. Theft/Criminal Mischief: 9:13 a.m. Monday, Bayou Oaks Apartments -- A visitor reported someone stole a sorority flag and damaged a flagpole in an attempt to steal another flag in the Bayou Oaks courtyard. An investigation is ongoing. Occurred between 6 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. Monday. Theft: 12:20 p.m. Monday, M.D. Anderson Library -- A staff member reported someone stole two UH-owned laptop computers from a secured area of the M.D. Anderson Library. An investigation is ongoing. Occurred between 5 p.m. Friday and 12:15 p.m. Monday. Theft: 2:51 p.m. Monday, Cougar Place Apartments -- A student reported someone stole his secured, unattended bike from a rack at Cougar Place Apartments. There are no suspects. Occurred between 2 and 11 a.m. Sunday. Theft: 3:01 p.m. Monday, M.D. Anderson Library
-- A student reported the theft of his unattended, unsecured laptop
computer and case from the M.D. Anderson Library. There are no witnesses
or suspects at this time. Occurred between 1:10 and 2:15 p.m. Saturday.
