Farmer shines,
UH advance in tourney
The pressure was on when Houston faced
crosstown rival Rice in the first round of the Conference USA Tournament
on Thursday evening, but this thought never registered in the mind of Houston
sophomore outside hitter Justine Farmer.
Injury prompted senior diver
to deveop skills on board
Senior diver Rachel Gitelson had a
goal -- to participate in the Olympics as a gymnast. After an injury
prevented her from achieving her dream, she stumbled into diving.
Cougars have tough road ahead
of them
The UH women--s basketball team will play its first road
game of the season against Associated Press No. 6-ranked Duke at 1 p.m.
Sunday.
