Cougars take care
of business
Always expect the unexpected. That's
the old maxim the Houston Cougars will remember following Saturday afternoon's
23-20 overtime thriller over the Memphis Tigers.
Swarming defense, big shots
propel UH
Houston ran its offense effectively,
forced Monmouth to play catch-up and was rewarded with its second win of
the season.
UH falls short in C-USA tournament
In Houston's first two matches of
the Conference USA Volleyball Tournament, the Cougars played with energy
and focus.
UH blown out on road
The Cougars lost their first road
game against Associated Press No. 6 Duke 81-35 Sunday. Sophomore guard
Sha'Ratta Hawkins came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 13
points.
Cougars snag top spots at weekend
tourney
The Cougars returned to action for
the first time since Nov. 4 to compete at the Art Adamson Invitational,
placing in multiple categories.
