Students contest
rising textbooks costs
Many students anticipate high textbook
prices every semester, and when professors turn in textbook orders on time,
it allows students to prepare their purchases in a timely manner and budget
accordingly.
New center a welcome aid
The beginning of each semester is
always hectic, as students scramble to pay their tuition, secure financial
aid or finish registration.
UH honors retail leaders
As consumer science and merchandising
senior Christine Goins accepted the Emerging Star Student Scholarship Award
during a ceremony Friday at the River Oaks country club in the company
of some of the most prominent retail figures in Houston, the luck of a
flexible scholarship deadline hit home, she said.
