The Blaffer Student Association invites students to have some fun at the Red Block Bash from 3 to 7 p.m. today in the Fine Arts Building courtyard.

"I attended the Red Block Bash last semester and had a great time, and I look forward to this year's event," public relations junior Gloria Ubaldo said.

For this year's Bash, events by the Art History Student Association; Vietnamese Student Association; jazz music; and an a cappella student group Floreat are scheduled to be included.

BSA will also give students guided tours for the current exhibit One Way or Another: Asian-American Art Now.

For those who seek a mental challenge, critical discussion and art quizzes will also be on hand for anyone who wants to participate.

A scavenger hunt will also take place at the beginning of the event.

"You don't have to be an expertise at art. This event is intended for all people who have different majors," Ubaldo said.

Education professor Sheng Chung and Katherine Veneman, curator of education for Blaffer, will be on hand to field questions about the works displayed in the gallery.

The clincher for the event, though is food.

Strolling students can grab free food and drinks for a quick snack while on their way to class.

The Blaffer Gallery is located in the Fine Arts Building at Entrance 16 off Cullen Boulevard.
