Report card all about revenge, flashing lights City of Boston: F Boston emergency services misinterpreted a number of small, black panels arrayed with LED lights in the likeliness of cartoon characters as something far more sinister "suspicious devices." In recent months, this has come to mean anything from sprinkler parts at a Houston airport to Boston's own glorified Lite-Brites. The displays, part of a so-called guerilla marketing campaign for Cartoon Network's adult-themed show Aqua Teen Hunger Force, have confirmed that any press truly is good press. Other cities in which the advertisements were placed didn't have the same problems Boston did. While Seattle and New York removed the planted adverts in a calm and unpublicized manner, Boston demonstrated that cooler heads don't always prevail. Frylock, Master Shake and Meatwad were unavailable for comment. Cougar basketball: A The 6,115 fans the Cougars drew Wednesday night at Hofheinz Pavilion were treated to a show. The men's basketball team kept a steady lead throughout the game and triumphed with a modest seven-point win over crosstown rival Rice. The victory was palpable. Timely offense and tight defense on the part of the Cougars left the Owls flightless. Any reservations about the team's abilities are now laid to rest. The Cougars are now vindicated from the stinging defeat suffered at Rice's Autry Court on Jan. 17. The crosstown rivalry is settled for the regular
season. Chalk up another one to the University, and go Coogs.
