Notable musicians, including UH pianists, will display their musical abilities at 8 p.m. tonight at The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. 
 

Ivins more than wit, liberal views
The real funeral service for Molly Ivins, who died Wednesday at age 62, didn't happen Sunday at the First Methodist Church in Austin, which ended with Marcia Ball singing "Great Balls of Fire," but in October, when 1,000 people gathered in Austin to honor her at a fundraising dinner for The Texas Observer. 
 

UH ready to take a swing 
at Lumberjacks
The smell of freshly cut grass and the sounds of gloves popping and bats making contact will ring in the new season as the Cougar baseball team plays its first game of the year at 2 p.m. today against Stephen F. Austin at Cougar Field.
 

Resilient freshman finds purpose 
in poetry
The crowd cheers as he races down the field, football in hand. He can't see anything but the goal line as he nears the end zone.
